Jewel Coloured Bridesmaid Dresses | Trend Alert | Lindy Bop
Red and yellow and pink and green
Purple and orange and blue
I can see a rainbow,
see a rainbow,
have you chosen Lindy Bop too?
One of the biggest (and most fun) choices to make when you’re planning your wedding is what your colour scheme is going to be. Many opt for a pretty pastel, but we also love deep jewel colours – gorgeous for ties, flowers and invites as well as of course, your bridesmaids. You don’t have to be a mystic meg or collect birthstones, to appreciate the stunning rich colour palette found in the crystals, gems and jewels associated with each calendar month. Read on to discover how these real-life couples incorporated jewel coloured bridesmaid dresses into their big day.
THE WEDDING OF MATT & BECKY
Creating a colourful festival vibe in a relaxed and fun nature with elements of DIY craft all made up the key themes of the wedding of Matt and Becky, who wed in June at Swanage Town Hall. Green with envy? Becky found her emerald bridesmaid dresses in our swing dress category. All four of Becky’s bridesmaids wore ‘Grace’ 1950s Green Cotton Swing Dress. Cool and comfortable, this cotton style is ideal for hot summer days. Add a petticoat just like this bride squad for extra va-va-voom! THE WEDDING OF ASH & BECCA
Another crafting bride, Becca also incorporated DIY into her wedding with subtle features such as handmade stationery, table favours and paper bouquets. A woman of detail, Becca paid silent tribute to her Grandmother by opting for bridesmaid dresses of the same name as the beloved lady in her life, Audrey.
What tones and hues are in your wedding colour palette? Maybe deep red bridesmaid dresses? Why stick to just one colour? Opting for the same style ‘Audrey’ Swing Dress for each of her six bridesmaids, the bride chose five different colours suiting each woman individually, with both of her sisters matching in sapphire blue. THE WEDDING OF WILL & ROSIE
As per our adaptation of the classic 1955 ‘Sing A Rainbow’ children’s song by Arthur Hamilton, this couple did choose Lindy Bop for their wedding. The rainbow was visible in not four, not six, but eight jewel coloured bridesmaid dresses at the wedding of Will & Rosie. The bride knew she wanted a bridesmaid style that was an A-line, 1950s style and available in several colours for each of her bride tribe. The result? Our ‘Audrey’ swing dress, available in several block colours, prints and patterns all starting from £38.00. Tying all eight of the bridesmaid’s dresses together along with two flower girls, Rosie’s aunt made matching floral bow belts for each of the girls to wear around their waists and on each of their bouquets. The rustic village fete décor and miniature railway meet the colour explosion fed throughout the wedding, infusing vintage nostalgia with the modern, in a successful union. Alongside our ‘Audrey’ and ‘Grace’ swing dresses, there are plenty of other colour block styles favoured among wedding parties including ‘Lana’, ‘Ophelia’, ‘Bella’ and ‘Lily’.
