The Silver Screen Collection | Lindy Bop

After the major success of last year, we are happy to announce the second drop of our occasion range, The Silver Screen Collection. Unlike the silent films of the Jazz Age, we can’t keep quiet about this new occasion wear in town. Forget the LBD, razzle-dazzle them with our exclusive 1920’s Silver Screen Collection.

Maybe you’re a film buff and admire the nostalgia of motion pictures like; ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Chicago’ and ‘Midnight in Paris? Perhaps this is your first foray into vintage-inspired clothing? Here at Lindy Bop, we love to seize any opportunity to channel the glamour of this era in grand Great Gatsby style.

Everyone wants to look their best, no matter the occasion, but we know that if the outfit isn’t comfortable, you’re not going to feel your best. Fear not! We’re here to tell you why the drop waist androgynous favourite of decades past is going to be your new best friend. After all, in the words of Grande dame Coco Chanel, “luxury must be comfortable, otherwise, it is not luxury”.

All women will agree that taking your bra off at the end of a long day is ultimately one of the best feelings. Now, imagine yourself in the 1900’s where corsets were part of the everyday dressing, (and not just a waist training fad!) you’ll soon appreciate the liberation the women of the twenties must have felt to wear such a none restrictive silhouette.

Got an upcoming occasion with a dress code that needs decoding? Cocktail attire, Black Tie, Dress to Impress? Or perhaps you’d like to add some timeless elegance to your wedding day with vintage style bridesmaid dresses? Whether you’re planning to Charleston the night away at a speakeasy NYE party, indulge at a High Tea birthday afternoon, or want to stand out from the crowd during party season, our lookbook shoot at 30 James Street Hotel “Home of the Titanic”, Liverpool shows our Silver Screen collection works for any affair!

Designed in-house our team have ensured the collection is flattering no matter your figure, available in sizes 8-26, and suitable for all body shapes. Waistlines at the hips and lighter weight fabrics in new synthetic materials allowing for freedom when dancing are the key elements that make up the flapper dress. To counterbalance the ordinariness of the rectangular shape the embellishment did all the talking. Our 1920s inspired Silver Screen collection features exquisite sequin beaded and embellished dresses with architecture influenced art deco patterns. We have below the knee length flapper styles as well as glamorous full-length midi and maxi gowns. Alongside our capsule collection of dresses, we have a treasure chest of gems to choose from in the shape of coordinating clutch bags.

Look no further! These celebrities show us that the flapper style is still roaring all the way into the 21st century.
